As a natural hardgainer, I’m always looking for the best supplements to maximize muscle growth, so when I hear about the fitness industry RAVE about Gorilla Mode Pre-workout, I made my mind up that I was going to get some.
Fitness influencers rave about it on YouTube, Instagram and other blogs, but is Gorilla Mode worth it?
Does it live up to the hype, or is it just another supplement that promises more than it could possibly hope to deliver.
In this article, I’m here to explain my review of Gorilla Mode after my experiences taking it, and the breakdown of the ingredients, the best stacks, and more.

Put simply, Gorilla Mode is a hardcore pre-workout supplement that has been proven to enhance energy, motivation, and performance in the gym.

But again, is Gorilla Mode Worth it? In my opinion, yes.
It is 100% worth it, and should be one of your “go to” pre-workouts for anyone who’s been lifting for a couple years, or even beginners looking to build muscle.
Gorilla Mode Review – Best Features
Overall, Gorilla Mode is one of the best hardcore pre-workout supplements out there, and gets a solid 10/10 from me compared to what’s currently on the legal market.
(There are some banned pre-workouts that give CRAZY benefits, which I won’t get into right now.)
As a bonus, Gorilla Mode goes on my ultimate list of muscle building supplements for hardgainers for the pre-workout category because it’s just THAT damn effective.

First things first, let’s start off with taste. This is a category that Gorilla Mode excels in. From what I know, EVERYONE loves the flavors from gorilla mind, and I would agree.
The first flavor I got was Mouthwatering Watermelon, and it literally tasted like I was drinking Kool-Aid, I couldn’t believe it.
Most pre-workouts have a pretty bitter taste to them, but that wasn’t the case with the taste of Gorilla Mode and now I look forward to taking it before my workouts.
As far as the Gorilla Mode cost and dosage goes, it’s actually pretty good.
For less than fifty bucks, you can get over a 40 days of HIGH QUALITY workouts, so you can build muscle faster than ever.
And with the dosages, beginners and people who are sensitive to stimulants should stick with one scoop max because Gorilla Mode is fucking STRONG.
Veterans and people with better tolerances though can take 2 scoops to get the MAX performance the best hardcore pre-workout has to offer.

A Gorilla Mode pre-workout review wouldn’t be complete without a breakdown of the ingredients by yours truly and seeing if they’re scientifically proven to work or not.
I’m going to be honest… a lot, if not MOST of the pre-workouts on the market are total scams and a complete waste of money.
They promise insane energy and quality but all they really do is stuff mass amounts of caffeine to make you feel like a meth addict and add a little beta alanine so you’re tricked into feeling like there’s more than what’s going on.
Luckily, Gorilla Mode is the exact OPPOSITE of this, as all of their ingredients are scientifically proven to enhance performance and most importantly, NONE of the ingredients are under-dosed!

Lets, start off with a fan favorite – Tyrosine. L-tyrosine has been shown to drastically enhance energy and motivation levels in users.
The reason why tyrosine improves energy and motivation is because it’s a precursor to dopamine which is the chemical in your brain responsible for that sense of euphoria and pride when you accomplish a goal.
This study found that Tyrosine was effective at elevating the moods of people who supplemented wiht it, and even help fight brain wasting diseases.
“Growdon et al showed that tyrosine elevated dopamine production in the CNS of patients with Parkinson disease, a serious, debilitating disorder, the cause of which is thought to involve a loss of dopamine neurons”
To put all of this simply, supplementing with tyrosine will enhance your energy levels, improve cognition, and make you feel like a BEAST in the gym.
NPDC & Caffeine For Energy
N-Phenethyl Dimethylamine Citrate (NPDC) and caffeine, have both been shown to shoot energy levels through the roof.
When used alone they provide good benefits, but when you take NPDC and caffeine together? You get a whole other level of elevated energy and athletic performance:
“Dimethylamylamine is a drug made synthetically in a laboratory. It was originally used as a nasal decongestant. Today, dimethylamylamine is sold as a dietary supplement used for attention deficit-hyperactive disorder (ADHD), weight loss, improving athletic performance, and body building.”
In fact, NPDC has actually been banned in certain places like Australia and athletic competitions due to it’s ability to give its users a MASSIVELY unfair advantage
L-Arginine & L-Citrulline For Pump
L-Arginine and Citrulline when taken together, lead to absolutely MASSIVE pumps. I remember the first time I took a pre-workout with both of these, I had veins EVERYWHERE and people all over the gym were watching me workout.
The feeling is incredible, and studies have shown that supplementing with arginine and citrulline leads to a significant increase in blood flow to muscles for athletes:

Creatine For Muscle Growth & Strength
Last, but certainly not least, is creatine. On top of that, Creatine is the most widely researched supplement for muscle building, and for good reason.
Creatine has been shown to be on of the best muscle building supplements for hardgainers and people looking to enhance workout performance.
“Creatine and beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate (HMB) were found to significantly increase net lean mass gains of 0.36 and 0.28%/wk and strength gains of 1.09 and 1.40%/wk (P < 0.05), respectively.” [R]
In short, creatine is one of the best supplements for hardgainers and Gorilla Mode has 2.5 grams in it, meaning you can expect to lift a LOT heavier and packj on slabs of muscle in no time.
Gorilla Mode Stacks
In this Gorilla Mode pre-workout review I also want to give you some supplement stacks for this hardcore pre-workout.
Now, if you’ve been working out for awhile you may want even more of an added benefit by adding more supplements to enhance your workout further.
This is where Gorilla Mode stacks come in, because they can work together to give you crazy pumps, more energy, more focus, strength and more.
I’ve been working out for over half a decade and spent thousands on supplements, and I’m here to tell you that these are the best supplements to stack with Gorilla Mode:
- Gorilla Mode Nitric (For vascularity)
- Rice Krispies (For better pumps)
- Modafinil (Not for beginners, but a fantastic option)
- Testogen (For an added edge to DEMOLISH your workouts)
- A Hyped Gym Playlist (Get you amped up to max out on your lifts)
These are some of the best Gorilla Mode stacks and I personally combine all of these sometimes, and I LOVE the feeling of being unstoppable, controlled, and focused all at the same time.
The Testogen will make you more likely to max out on your lifts with the added edge and strength, and give you the drive needed to lift far heavier than usual.
Modafinil on the other hand is not, I repeat, is NOT for beginners or people who are sensitive to stimulants, otherwise you’ll end up having a fucking panic attack in the gym – but if you can handle it, modafinil is a great option for your Gorilla Mode stack.
Gorilla Mode vs. Gorilla Mode Nitric
For those of you who are more focused on amazing pumps and vascularity, and are willing to sacrifice some energy and performance, then Gorilla Mode Nitric is a GREAT option for you.
Gorilla Mode Nitric maxes out on the pump and vascularity department without any other added stimulants.
This is great because then if you want, you can combine BOTH of these with few side effects and AMAZING results.
If you’re just starting out, I’d recommend to take each of them one day at a time, and then combine both of them at smaller doses, before you work your way up to the big dose.
Trust me, maxing out on stimulants when you’re not ready is a VERY uncomfortable and panic-inducing experience, so take it slow if you’re a beginner.
Alternatively, if you want the benefits of GMN without wanting to buy it directly, you can also get some of the supplements like arginine, citrulline, etc. from Amazon or even GNC – it just won’t be NEARLY as powerful but can be a great option if you’re looking for more budget-friendly pre workout options.
Gorilla Mode Pre-Workout Review: The Bottom Line
In the end, Gorilla Mode is probably my current favorite pre-workout overall, even over GAT Nitraflex and others.
I’ll be taking it for every single one of my workouts for MAXIMUM results from now on, and will continue to experiment with other Gorilla Mode stacks.
All of the ingredients are clinically proven to maximize your performance in the gym, so you can rest easy knowing that you aren’t getting under-dosed, BS ingredients like other pre-workouts have.
